Driver coaching

Every tenth has a reason. We find it with you.

Coaching built on your own data and on how a race car really works. With you before, during and after every event.

Half-speed replay of a simulated lap. Speeds and accelerations come from the racing line; tyre loads use a simplified model without aerodynamic load, shown as % of the car's weight.

The problem

«The car feels fine but the laptime is not good, I don't understand.»

A driver, after the session

«I'm the fastest in the team. How do I improve with no one to compare to?»

A driver, looking at the data

Most drivers drive on instinct. Without a method, they have no structured way to decide what to change, or to judge whether the change worked. The answer only comes when they see the data, and by then the session is over.

π One gives drivers that method. They learn to read what the car is doing in each phase of the corner, choose the next step and verify it on the following lap. These are tools they use from the cockpit, so the improvement starts before anyone opens the data.

When they do sit down with the data, they already know which critical points to attack. They can explain them clearly to their team, and everyone works towards the goal they share: winning.

The method

Understand what the car is telling you and what you need from it

We start with a solid theory of vehicle dynamics for drivers and how the car works. No formulas: a clear picture of how the car reacts in each situation. You then put it into practice in the simulator, learn to give the right feedback and check it against the data.

It is not only about driving. It is about understanding everything around you, the car, the tyres, the track and the conditions, so you can extract the maximum from each situation.

Step 01

Theory

A solid theory of vehicle dynamics for drivers and how the car works. Simple ideas you can picture, like how to use the weight distribution to change the car's balance and what the car set-up can do for you.

Step 02

Simulator

The best tool to develop yourself as a professional driver. You put those ideas into practice until they feel natural and are fully internalised.

The target is not the fastest lap. It is muscle memory. Quality instead of quantity.

Step 03

Feedback

Now that you understand everything around you and the factors at play, we help you focus on the aspects that matter most, so you become decisive in the development of the car.

That way, driver and team move in the same direction.

Step 04

Analysis

We teach you to analyse the data carefully, to double-check whether your feelings are confirmed or contradicted by it.

You learn the patterns and maths channels that help you determine what is really happening.

What changes when you know how to say it

Before

«The car doesn't turn. Turn 5 is terrible.»

A driver, in the debrief
What the engineer can do Nothing to act on

Nothing specific. They have to guess in which phase it happens and why, and try a change blind.

After
Where
Slow-speed corners like T5, T9, T16.
Entry
Stable under braking. I can release the brake and the rear stays put.
Mid
Understeer from brake release to the apex. I have to wait before getting on the throttle.
Exit
Good traction, no oversteer.
Limit
I can't push the braking because I can't get the car rotated for the exit.
Tried
I braked a little earlier and released the brake more slowly. The understeer is smaller, but I lose time on entry.
What the engineer can do A clear direction

They know the problem is the front axle, mid-corner, at low speed, and that the driver has already tried to solve it with the brake. They can go straight to front mechanical grip, and confirm it in the data.

Q&A

Before you ask

Does this replace my team's engineer?

No. The work is with the driver. The aim is that your engineer gets better information from you and that you understand what they ask of you.

Do I need an engineering background?

No. The theory is taught from the seat, with the brake, the steering wheel and the throttle as the starting point.

What data do you need from me?

For the plans that follow your events, the telemetry and onboard video of each session. We agree access with your team from the start.

Which categories do you work with?

Every formula category, and GTs.

Is the work remote or in person?

The Season plan is delivered remotely. The Complete plan adds support on site during your events.

How is the simulator work done?

Simulator sessions can be done remotely or on site, whichever suits you.

Which language do we work in?

English, because it is the working language of motorsport. It can be combined with Spanish or Italian.

Can I change plan during the season?

No. The plan is set for the whole season, which is why we choose it carefully in the first call.

I am already the fastest in my team. Is this for me?

Yes. When there is no faster team-mate to compare with, the reference has to come from the car itself. The method gives you that reference.

How do I know which plan fits me?

Take the test above for a first recommendation. We confirm it together in the first call.

How much does it cost?

Every plan is tailored to the driver and the season, so we talk about it in the first call.

What happens in the first call?

We talk about your season, your car and where you feel you lose time. You leave knowing which plan fits you and what the work would look like.
